PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola

Winter Sightseeing in Whistler

Exploring the beauty of Whistler is an all-season, year-round activity. Even if you do not ski or snowboard, you can easily enjoy Whistler’s winter wonderland on foot or from the seat of a sno-limo or snowcat.

Sightseeing by Foot

In December 2008 the brand new PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola opened, connecting Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains at their peaks. This engineering marvel is a must-see for any visitor to Whistler. Hop on at either mountain and see the majestic Fitzsimmons Valley below along with the surrounding Coast Mountains during the 11-minute trek across. Try to get the silver, glass-bottomed gondola for a 360 experience. Catch the lift up from the Village/Upper Village, have lunch, take the PEAK 2 PEAK across and see all the skiers and snowboarders living their bliss at the top of the world.

Single-day sightseeing tickets can be purchased for $39.95 for adults, $32.95 for youths (13-18) and seniors (65+) and $16.95 for kids ages 7-12.

Sno-Limo

Sno-limo offers people of any age, with absolutely no skiing or snowboarding experience, the opportunity to see the mountains’ alpine trails and runs up close and first hand.

Snowcat Tours

To see Blackcomb Mountain at night and the twinkling Valley below, ride in a heated snowcat up to the cozy Crystal Hut cabin for a freshly made fondue dinner. Your guide will provide a narrated history of Whistler along with some tunes while you sit back and take in the serenity of the high alpine.
