Career Perks and Benefits

Working at Tourism Whistler is full of perks and possibility in equal measure. It’s an opportunity to work with a collaborative team of passionate people who care about this place we live in, and the lifestyle that comes with it. We’re dedicated to providing a positive company culture that promotes pride in the work we do and celebrates our achievements. Some of these specific perks include:

Flexibility

For salaried employees this includes "Flex Fridays," where you receive every other Friday off – that's a three-day weekend twice a month – just think of the possibilities. As a way to ensure our front line staff get to enjoy all that Whistler has to offer, we encourage a 4x10 schedule, which entails working four 10-hour shifts per week, which gives employees three days each week to play.

Competitive Benefits

Our extensive package includes extended health and dental benefits, travel insurance (pack your bags with peace of mind) as well as massage therapy, physiotherapy, vision care, and more.

Wellness Fund

How about $1,200 annually to spend on all the great recreational activities that Whistler offers? Full-time, year-round employees receive $1,200, while part-time employees receive a wellness spending account that is pro-rated based on the number of hours they work on a weekly basis. Put that stash towards a ski pass, gym membership, yoga classes, golf lessons, bike park pass, or anything else that gets you active and keeps you healthy in the Sea to Sky Corridor.

Training and Development

We are committed to fostering growth and development across our teams. Ensuring our employees have the support needed to be effective on the job, to manage change, keep skills current, and to support their individual career goals.

Culture and Connection

Tourism Whistler's Social Committee (TWIST) supports monthly events. It's always super fun and a great way to get to know your co-workers.

Wellness and Well-Being at Work

Our Health and Safety committee consists of employees from all areas of our company that meet monthly and new employees receive a health and safety orientation. While health and safety are obviously important factors, an area we feel is equally important is ergonomics. Our office is equipped with sit-to-stand workstations that allow for employees to switch from sitting to standing throughout their workday, reducing repetitive strain injuries and reinvigorating the body and mind.
