  • If your trip is affected by coronavirus-related events or travel disruptions, your cancellation policy will vary based on each product purchased on your itinerary. Upon cancellation, we will work with you to ensure your trip is either rescheduled, credited towards a future stay, or fully/partially refunded depending on the cancellation policies outlined by each lodging, activity, transportation and resort partner. See list of participatining partners below.
  • Cancellation policies outlined by accommodation, activity, & transportation partners may vary and are subject to change up until the time of booking. For further details, please consult your reservation policies upon completing your booking.
  • Proof Requirements: If cancellation occurs due to travel disruptions or personal illness, Whistler.com and/or it's suppliers reserves the right to require you to submit proof to verify the basis for which you are cancelling. This may include but not limited to, physician verifications, travel documents, or other material deemed necessary to process your cancellation request.
  • Resort Closure must be due to a coronavirus-related event and considered a complete closure of the Whistler Blackcomb ski resort for the duration of your vacation. Resort closures due to weather or avalanche conditions are not covered under this policy.
  • Travel Disruptions must be in the form of a 'defer travel' advisory or a written formal notice that is issued by the Government of Canada advising travellers to avoid all travel or avoid non-essential travel to or within British Columbia.
  • Personal Illness must be an instance where you or your travel companion develop COVID-19, have tested positive and cannot travel as mandated by your physician. A note from a physician may be required in order to process your cancellation.
  • Refund amounts: Should you be eligible for a refund, the amount of your refund will be based on payment terms as agreed to upon booking. Some properties may deduct a cancellation fee or deposit from your refund amount. Please see your official confirmation document for these details.
  • Ski Pass products are covered seperately under Epic Coverage which is included free on all pass holders products including the new Whistler Blackcomb Day Pass. Epic Coverage provides refunds associated with certain personal events, including illness, job loss, and injury. It also expands coverage to protect you from certain resort closures, such as any due to COVID-19. Book with Confidence Program does not include any other WB products – season pass, day pass, snow school etc.
  • As a requirement for eligibility, should a coronavirus-related event affect your travel plans you must cancel your booking immediately and notify us within 48 hours of when you know you’re going to cancel. Failure to do so could result in denial of cancellation or return of funds.
  • Pre-existing travel restrictions (such as known border closures or travel bans) or other conditions that occured prior to the time of booking may not be covered by this program. Please ensure you check travel regulations prior to making a reservation.
  • Our Book With Confidence program does not serve as travel insurance and does not provide coverage beyond the control of the products sold through Whistler.com. Airfare, Travel Insurance, Seasons Passes and other portions of your vacation that are not reserved directly through Whistler.com are not covered under this policy. Please contact each provider directly to inquire if you may cancel these portions of your trip.

Will I automatically receive a refund if I cancel my trip?

Cancellation policies are set by our accommodation and activity partners and at the discretion of each business. In event of coronavirus-related event, we are encouraging our local partners to look beyond their standard policies to accommodate cancellation requests where possible. Through our Book With Confidence program, we are recommending our partners provide either a full refund, a free date change, or credit towards a future stay.

Am I able to cancel my reservation online?

When cancelling online, regular cancellation policies as outlined in your confirmation document will apply. In order to cancel due a coronavirus-related event, we recommend you contact our local travel consultants at 1.800.944.7853 to review your cancellation options.

In addition, international travellers as well as residents of British Columbia will have the option to purchase Trip Cancellation Insurance upon check-out.
