Kids Lesson Information
Whistler Blackcomb Kids Snow School offers full-day group lessons,
private instruction and multi-day programs designed to help children
build confidence, improve their skiing or snowboarding and have fun on
the mountain.
Group Lessons
Group lessons give kids the opportunity to learn alongside children of
a similar ability level in a fun and supportive environment. Group
lessons have a maximum group size of eight participants, or four
participants for ages 3-4, and include a hot lunch, snacks and lift
line priority.
All kids group lessons are full day. Group lessons can be booked for 1
to 5 days. The same instructor and group are not guaranteed for
multi-day group lessons.
Private Lessons
Private lessons offer a customizable experience based on your child's
ability and goals. Lessons are one-on-one, or can be shared with kids of
similar ability: up to 2 kids ages 3-4, 3 beginner kids ages 5-6 or 5 kids
ages 7-12 per instructor. Instructor requests can also be made based on
language, skill set and certification level.
Kids Private instructors have specific training to teach children.
Private lessons include lift line priority. Lunch is not included in
the cost of a private lesson.
Advance Booking
Group lessons must be booked online at least 2 days in advance and
private lessons must be booked online at least 5 days in advance to
take advantage of the listed rates. Booking well in advance is strongly
recommended during weekends and holiday periods.
Snow School lessons are subject to change and availability. If your
selected date is unavailable, Whistler.com will contact you within 48
hours.

Please arrive earlier on the first day if you still need to check in or
pick up lift tickets or rental equipment.
Snow School Check-In
All kids must check in before their first lesson. A parent or guardian
signs a waiver and collects the lesson voucher. To avoid delays on the
morning of your lesson, check-in can be done the afternoon before.

- Kids lessons meet at Creekside Kids, across from Dusty's
Snowboard lesson locations vary by date and product. Confirm your
meeting location when booking.
Medical & Emergency Information
Whistler Blackcomb requires certain medical and emergency information
for your child to participate in a lesson. You may be asked to provide
your family doctor's name and phone number, medical plan details,
relevant medical history such as allergies or medications, emergency
contact information and the names of anyone authorized to pick up
your child.
Lift Tickets, Passes & Rentals
All lesson participants must have a valid Whistler Blackcomb lift
ticket or pass to ski or snowboard. Lift tickets and passes are not
included with lesson-only products.
Add-on lift tickets and equipment rentals are available for group
lessons only and must be purchased at least 48 hours before the lesson
start date. Add-on products are valid only on the days your child is
scheduled to be in a lesson.
Lunch & Dietary Requirements
Hot lunch and snacks are included with kids group lessons. If your
child has allergies or special dietary requirements, discuss them with
your Travel Consultant when booking and again when you arrive for
drop-off.
Whistler Blackcomb tries to operate nut-free facilities, so please do
not pack nut products if you choose to send your child with a lunch or
snack.
Actual time on snow can vary depending on weather conditions, the
group's ability and stamina. Younger children and those who are still
learning may take more frequent breaks throughout the day.
Before You Arrive

Ensure your child is well rested, has eaten breakfast and has
recovered from jet lag
- Bring your child dressed and ready to ski or snowboard

Don't worry about tears. Instructors are trained to help children
settle into their lesson

You will be required to sign a form releasing your child from the
class at the end of the day
What To Bring
Mountain weather can change rapidly. Please ensure that your child's
belongings are clearly labelled with their first and last name and
that they come equipped with the following:

Helmet - mandatory for all children and teens ages 3-18 participating
in ski and snowboard programs
- Warm hat and neck gaiter
- Goggles and/or sunglasses depending on the weather
- Sunscreen and lip balm
- Waterproof and insulated mittens or gloves, jacket and pants
- Appropriate base layers
- Warm, dry socks
Cancellation Policy

Lessons cancelled more than 48 hours before the lesson start time
receive a full refund

Lessons cancelled within 48 hours of the lesson start time receive a
50% refund. All other days in a multi-day lesson product are fully
refunded

Cancellations within 48 hours due to personal illness or injury
receive a full refund. Medical documentation may be requested

Refunds are not issued for weather or wind-related events, including
snow levels, or for unused lessons requested retroactively
