Bobsleigh and Skeleton Experience at the Whistler Sliding Centre
The non-profit Whistler Sliding Centre is home to the fastest ice track in the world! Since hosting the competitions for bobsleigh, skeleton and luge as part of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, the venue continues to grow these sports as an active training and competition site. Public participants can experience the thrill of sliding as a passenger in a bobsleigh (winter and summer) and solo skeleton rides (winter). Visitors may also visit the venue for self-guided sightseeing year-round and spectating during the on-ice season. Grab a map at Guest Services and take the free self-guided interpretive tour! Please note, venue access hours vary.

After an orientation, participants take off from the Maple Leaf starting point (about a third of the way up the track), pass through six corners, and clock speeds up to 100 km/hr. The Whistler Sliding Centre is the only place in Canada where the public can experience the rush of skeleton. Minimum age for Public Skeleton is 16, some physical requirements apply.
Both activities run rain, snow or shine, so it’s the perfect addition to your time in Whistler, whatever the weather. Bobsleigh is offered Tuesdays to Sundays.
