Located in the heart of the resort, the Whistler Museum is the place to discover Whistler's history and unique mountain culture. The Museum offers a variety of exhibits year-round, plus a busy program of seminars, interactive activities and other events to suit all ages.

Current Exhibits at the Whistler Museum

November 2013 - The Evolution of Skiing in Whistler: Take a trip through history and learn how both the town of Whistler and the sport of skiing have evolved through the years. An extensive exhibit, with engaging stories, historical photographs, multi-media presentations and displays including a complete original gondola cabin!

It's a chance to learn about the people who made Whistler the place it is today, and understand why the town is unique and special for locals and visitors alike.

Valley of Dreams Walking Tour

Uncover the stories of Whistler - join a local guide as they recount the stories of Whistler's dreamseekers during a leisurely stroll through picturesque Whistler Village. Jam-packed with little known tidbits of history, this tour takes both locals and visitors on a journey that reveals the secrets behind Whistler's rise to the mecca of outdoor recreation.

Where is the Whistler Museum?

The Museum is located at 4333 Main Street, behind the Whistler Public Library and Florence Petersen Park. The Cultural Centre is open 7 days a week from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, please contact for opening hours on holidays.
