Epigenetics of Meditative Practices | Jenna Scott

Jenna Scott weaves together her knowledge and training in Eastern healing practices and Western medical science to explore the epigenetic impacts of meditation. Learn the biological mechanism of epigenetics so that you can understand the current evidence of how world meditative practices positively influence inflammation and biological aging. Jenna will reflect on her personal and professional experience with cancer, leveraging the power of epigenetics to facilitate healing. Jenna completed her Master's degree in Human Genetics from Sarah Lawrence College in 1994. She has 30 years of experience as a clinical genetic counsellor, and 12 years as an educator and consultant for health professional education in genetics. Jenna strives to improve the appropriate use of genetics to improve health outcomes. Her curiosity to learn about holistic approaches to health includes training in Shiatsu massage, with foundations of Traditional Chinese medicine. Following 12 years of hatha yoga practice, Jenna completed hot yoga teacher training in 2023. Important: A separate Whistler Blackcomb lift ticket or pass is required to access this event.
