We had the opportunity to take part in the Introduction to Backcountry Guided Tour. Dave was absolutely fenomenal explaining the basics to Backcountry skiing and showing us the safety essentials. He was also an amazing photographer!! I cannot recommend Extremely Canadian enough, as their guides are extremely knowledgeable and experienced. Living in Whistler, these guys truly took my Whistler-Blackcomb experience to a whole new level. Thank you!

My recent one day steeps clinic with Extremely Canadian may have been the most incredible day I have had in 35 years of skiing. From the first group run until the end of the day, the focus on safety for everyone was a clear priority. After the separator run our guide Austin launched right into taking us into some lines which I would not have had the confidence to safely find, access and ski on my own. Throughout the day he provided encouragement when needed and offered great tactical / technical insight into skiing these runs. Signing up for a two day clinic where I can get more personalized feedback on skiing this amazing terrain just became one of my top bucket list items. Thanks for the awesome experience.

I did two “Two Days Steeps Clinics,” and I couldn’t be happier. Gavin and JM are true masters of the mountain. They always had the best attitude, focusing on improvement and correction at every moment. The mountain had challenging conditions, but they knew how to choose the best runs. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to perfect their skiing!

Our private lesson was with Jane E. We enjoyed her fun and helpful personality. She was confident and knowledgeable in her abilities as well as her knowledge of the mountains. Jane made our experience one of my favorite ski days ever. I skied out of my comfort zone and felt proud of myself for doing so. Every run felt fun and extraordinary. Jane would explain the plan, show us the best way to proceed and lift us up with reassurance when we felt little butterflies in our stomachs. She never put us in harms way but also took us to some of the most difficult runs I've ever conquered. Her knowledge and timing was impeccable. She listened for how the skis sounded on the slopes as we rode the chairs, collaborated with the rest of her team on what runs were warming up well, and even let her team know what runs she had done with us to give them advice on their own tours as well. Just amazing skill and calm demeanor. We laughed quite a bit too! On a side note and not to be overlooked: Claudia at the front desk was incredibly helpful. She was patient and friendly as we switched our 2day steeps class over to a 1 day private. It felt easy and she prioritized our experience when making all the changes. I find it more rare these days to find service of this caliber. Well done Claudia and Jane, for expertly making my birthday weekend one I will not soon forget. Now I just have to convince my three daughters to get on the slopes with Extremely Canadian when they are there! I will be taking every class/experience they have to offer. I can assure you, its well worth every dollar spent.

Last weekend, I participated in Extremely Canadian's 2-Day Steep Clinics, and it was an absolutely incredible experience. The program was exceptionally well organized, and it allowed me to achieve things that I could never have done on my own.
I want to give my highest praise to Derryl and Stephen. Honestly, you won’t find guides more friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable than these two. Thanks to their expertise and encouragement, I was able to push my limits with confidence. Their patience and enthusiasm made every moment enjoyable, and they truly went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible.
I am deeply grateful to both of them—five stars are not enough to express my appreciation! If you’re looking for an unforgettable adventure with top-tier guidance, Extremely Canadian is the way to go.
