It’s no Escape Route, that’s for sure. Instead of tanking ER (ask around!), and establishing a non-Canadian brand, it reeks of insincerity. The staff is super friendly though hence the 2 stars, but I’ve heard enough stories about the owner that makes me cringe and question their business ethics. I’ve long said goodbye to MEC and this American co doesn’t belong here either. I’ll spend my money with VPO and Climb On instead, who are Canadian owned and operated and who care about the long term and not a hostile business mindset. Can’t wait for see the end of this place.
