We drove all the way from Ontario to try this. In the village, it smells incredible. You know it’s the chub when you become twitterpated by the smell. Not the usual donairs I have previously experienced but unique and quite easy to demolish. Props to being operated by one worker during our visit. Our service kept the good vibes going, wishing there was more space to allow for a dinning in experience.

We ordered the Chubb which is a big donair with all the fixing costing $17.75. Price was a bit high but two people may be able to share it if you’re not super hungry. Lots of fillings within but oh so greasy. We ate it on the grass near the Olympic Ovals, and we just kept getting grease and sauce on our hands. Very tasty though but just be careful of your clothing. If you’re vegetarian, you can get the falafel instead of the meats.

After spending 3 hours doing all of the Peak 2 Peak Gondola activities, we were hungry and needed a quick lunch. I found Chubby Ducks and saw they had pretty good reviews so we decided to check it out on a Saturday at around 2 PM. We ordered the Chubb (protein, lettuce, onion, tomato & tabouli, choice of sauce) and the Full Chubb Combo (which is the Chubb but with fries and a drink, which I am now realizing that they forgot to give us a drink). For the sauces, you can choose from BBQ, sweet chili, sweet garlic donair, garlic aioli, housemade hot, flaming hot, and tzatziki. We had a chicken and a beef. The chicken was very mediocre but the beef was good. It wasn't a great kebab but it was passable. Plus, it was huge. But the star of the show was the French fries. These were the battered fries, which are my fave. I should have known this was the popular item when they had a separate window just for poutine. Looking back, I would have just ordered the poutine, or the Snack Pack, which is fries topped with grated cheese and a protein. If you do get the chance to visit, skip the kebab and just go for the fries.

The staff and service were brilliant, and the food, WOW. I’m a bit of a French fry snob, and their fries are comfortably the best I’ve ever had. Their sauce selection is fantastic too - I have to keep coming back to tick off different sauce combinations. Special shout out to the Chubb Sauce, that stuff is like crack. And as someone who eats a lot, this may also be the only place I can leave full after spending sub $20

Chubby duck is amazing. It actually saved the life of me and my family. We were hungry and had not eaten for 1 day. When we arrived we were greeted by a very enthusiastic crew. They served more than enough for me and my family! Definitely coming back here. - written by my kid. But it was actually really good. Best fries in town.
