We have been long time members since this was Intrawest in 2008. The whole place feels...tired. Out dated. This is supposed to be a 'flag ship' resort and gid knows members pay a fortune to join and in an annual fees. You really do wonder where that money goes because it's not going back into this place. We've been members since 2008 and the rooms haven't been updated since then; although they are updating some ours is a quaint 1990,s Canadian style room. Quaint but old! The kids pool area was totally closed so we had time restricted access to the adult only area - so both groups, kids and adults were unhappy at that! One of the hot tubs in the adult area was also out of order, so everyone tried to squeeze into the resorts sole remaining hot tub. For context the family area has a very large spa, water slide and much larger pool. The adult area is much smaller. Based on how difficult it is to get a booking the resort is at max occupancy. Back to the rooms...Whistler gets very warm very quickly in the spring. It's a unique micro climate typically 10c warmer than Vancouver. Our room was an uncomfortable 26c but we couldn't turn the heating off and the air con units had had all the remotes removed so we couldn't turn them on. There is the a written direction where the remotes should be saying 'refer to room directory' problem is there is no in room directory. The lovely lady in the front desk replied that yesterday many guests were complaining about this issue and she'd see what they could do. An hour or so later sent a very helpful service man who had to turn breakers back on and found a remote that worked (my kids were asleep in bed by this point). Now turned on they are sadly pretty ineffective units.
The club is now owned by Hilton Grand Vacations. The third owner since we "owned" - yes we know it's a timeshare!! Still - no info from Hilton, no invite to update us, less availability than ever, presumably their members now get to use this club as well, so once again less value than ever before. Such a shame. If you can get a room on booking.com I advise trying the Westin or the Fairmont first. Far nicer and better value.

I had a really bad experience. I drove 5hrs to get there. I had an over sized vehicle. Turns out there really is pretty much no over night parking for oversized vehicles. The young staff tried... but we're unable to problem solve. Investigating their suggestions came up empty each time. One staff even said.. "I don't drive.. I can't help you". I spent 2hrs looking for options with some assistance from staff. Options had rules of no parking from 3-6am. Day parking was stated as $24/day.. it really is $36. My only option was to turn around and go back home at 630pm. Another 5hrs. Total driving time that day 10.5hrs. Staffs parting words.. "sorry". My mistake was that I did not ahead of time about parking. I am not sure staff could have helped me accurately given my in person experience. I did get to see my room briefly. I ran into a guy on way in who had just left that room that day. He had moved to another room. Room 250 is right near an exit and an elevator. I became suspicious. Location/Hilton is essentially on the hill and near amenities. I only knew this as I had to do a lot of driving around following leads on parking... in the dark. I was very disappointed with service delivery. I was very surprised/disappointed about the parking situation at whistler. We even tried to see if Fairmont (next door) could help. "Guests only" at Fairmont. No team play considered. Going to this Hilton property became a complete waste of my time and resources. No refunds or service recovery was offered. Warning.. if you go to Whistler.. consider taking as small a vehicle as you feel safe arriving with to a mountain community.

Loved our weekend stay. Well equipped kitchen, beds were comfortable, hot tub, heated pool, BBQ right in front of our room. And the weather was great when we were there. Highly recommended!

This hotel was amazing. Beds were comfy rooms were spacious and clean. Staff was very friendly. Great arcade for kids. Two sets of pools. One for the adults, Hot tub x2, pool and a steam room. Kids pool on the other side of the hotel had a hot tub a really fun slide and a heated pool. There is a small grocery store that has everything you need on site. A liquor store across the street and a 3 min walk to Blackcomb gondola. Close to pubs and a 10 min walk to Whistler village. Parking was easy with our big truck. Will stay there again next year.
