Johannes made sure my husband and I had boots, skis and poles that fit well and matched our abilities. We like to challenge ourselves to double black diamond terrain when we can. We also like to coast down the groomers and play in the tree runs on occasion. Our gear enabled us to do everything, and with ease. Each employee was helpful and genuinely seemed like they enjoyed their jobs. Very friendly and knowledgeable people. I noticed even novice skiers and snowboarders getting fitted for gear, which is good to know for those of you new to these snow sports. Their shop is conveniently located near the Old Spaghetti Factory, which is about a block away from the base chairs and gondolas. Easy to find, and they have a cart waiting for you when the mountain shuts down for the day so you can drop your gear off without having to walk down the stairs to their shop. Our shoes were held in valet for us so we could walk back to our hotel in comfort with our ski boots hanging over our shoulders. We highly recommend renting gear here. My husband needed a smaller boot size after our first day and they swapped out the gear without hesitation. The valet service was especially helpful as we could leave our skis and poles there to pickup for the next day of skiing. We aren't snowboarders, but there were plenty of boarders in the shop finding the gear they needed as well. The staff are equally versed in both disciplines. They even got us freshly pulled cappuccinos while we were signing our waivers! Important side note: this is one of a few shops left that is independently owned and operated. We seek out independent shops when we visit Whistler Village to support those small businesses. I certainly feel good about spending my money there.

I had such a fantastic experience at Premium Mountain rental. They had the best rates and the staff was super knowledgeable and friendly. I’ve never been snowboarding before and Ed patiently explained not only how to get in and out of the equipment but he gave me some tips for getting started when I get on the mountain. I definitely feel way more confident since getting Ed’s help.

Premium Mountain Rental is the most flexible and affordable shop in Whistler with amazing staff!! Anna did my initial fitting and was super helpful, then Sam helped me find a better pair of boots the next day and helped me switch sizes which was a life saver! Liv made the return very easy and quick! Awesome store and employees!!

We had the best experience at Premium. Absolute highlight was the legend, Ed, who looked after us. At the initial fitting he took time to ensure we had what we needed after a few years break from skiing. We so enjoyed seeing Ed at the extremely convenient valet drop off in the afternoons, which means you don’t need to take your gear back down the stairs every day. He always asked how our days were, and if we were happy with the gear or wanted to swap anything out. We’ll definitely be booking with Premium next time we’re visiting Whistler.

I had a fantastic experience with Premium Mountain Rentals! The service was outstanding from start to finish. The ski and boot models they chose for me were perfect — I felt super comfortable on the slopes. I also reached out via email afterward to get some more information, and both Mia and Paul were incredibly helpful and kind. They replied quickly and even included links and detailed specs about the gear I had used. Their attention to detail and customer care really stood out. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Whistler and need rental gear — great equipment and even better service!
