I did not like this gym. I was living in Whistler with my partner for the month. The membership for the period was $125 and I don’t feel it was worth the money.
The customer service was atrocious. We were only greeted at the front desk once or twice for the whole month of training 3 times a week, and the employees almost never cracked a smile. Neither myself nor my partner felt welcomed into the space at all.
There was often a wait time to use the equipment. The space simply isn’t big enough for the number of people using the facility. (Not reflected by the photos due to being taken right before closing time). There was also an implicitly sexist sign on the wall which seem to be degrading those who don’t put their weights back by implying that they are weaker than women.
It seems that the aesthetic of the facility took priority over functionality. It also lacks mini-bands. I instead had to tie up resistance bands as a work-around. A pack of mini-bands is only a $13 investment… it seems to me that the business is more interested in making money than creating a welcoming and supportive environment for its clientele to thrive.
I was able to complete my training program so the gym served its purpose, but it could have been a much better customer experience and it is easily the worst gym I have ever visited.

One of the nicest gyms I’ve been too. I did a drop in for $18 while on vacation. Staff are extremely friendly and I immediately felt valued as my first time at this gym. Great selection of equipment and spaces to stretch. Sauna and lockers included in price. Never seen a gym this clean, no dirt, all equipment is in perfect condition and not damaged. All weights and accessories are stacked neatly. Friendly patrons and great atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back anytime I need to have a good workout. Nothing negative at all to say and it this gym. 5/5

Nice space! Has potential!
Unfortunately hours are too short, especially on weekends in a town that is based around tourism.
After work crowds pile in for the couple hours available in the early evening.
Short hours made worse by front door being locked up to a half hour before close.
Want to drop in for a quick bike and stretch or sauna before gym close? Too bad.
Pricing misleading for members.
Advertised price is billed every 4 weeks which makes one think that’s a monthly pass price.
This ends up being 13 payments a year.
Monthly pass goes from under 100 to over 100 without knowing.
Some of these concerns have been voiced to staff and management and only answered with future promises that have not come to fruition.
There are a few gyms around town with better hours and a cheaper price tag.
Until Altitude addresses these couple of points I’ve mentioned I’d say go with the competitors.

If you’re looking for a place to lightly use a few machines, this gym might work for you. But if you plan to work out at more than 70% of your capacity — think ball slams, intense circuits, or serious strength training — this isn’t the place. The gym is densely packed into a small area, and employees will come tell you to tone it down even when doing normal exercises like ball slams. It’s just not set up for real, intense training. Would recommend finding a different gym if you’re serious about your workouts.

I love this gym! The space is beautiful and open, with large windows that make it feel bright and welcoming. The staff are always friendly and approachable. I've worked with a personal trainer and taken group classes before, and every instructor I've had has been excellent. Highly recommend if you're looking for a gym that combines great facilities with a supportive atmosphere!
