Whistler Blackcomb Welcomes Summer with New Alpine Adventures

Whistler Blackcomb officially kicked off its summer operations on Friday, May 16 with a refreshed lineup of alpine experiences. New to the Summer Alpine Experience, Forged Axe Throwing introduces an exciting new challenge, with two axe-throwing stations open every Friday through Sunday. Guests aged 10 and up can test their aim with this fun and classic, Canadian activity.

Whistler is stoked for another summer of legendary laps in the Whistler Mountain Bike Park. New this year, guests can look forward to a range of updates including a new access point to Zone 2 A-Line and Ninja Cougar, an alternate exit for BCC trails in Creekside, an extension of Pumpkin Moon, upgraded wall rides on Crank It Up thanks to SRAM / RockShox, plus a refreshed Commencal rental fleet with bold new colourways.

Returning this year are the always-popular Phat Wednesday races, the BC Cup, Canada Cup and, of course, Crankworx Whistler – the world’s biggest celebration of gravity-fuelled mountain biking, which has moved back to August. View all bike events
