Show Times

Shows start every 20 minutes with start times varying throughout the season based on sunset hours. Guests are required to select a start time which is the time they meet their mandatory complimentary shuttle that transports them to Vallea Lumina

How to Get to the Vallea Lumina Venue

Please note that there is no parking available at the Cougar Mountain base. Access to and from the venue is by complimentary shuttle only.

Vallea Lumina is located at The Adventure Group’s Cougar Mountain base, approximately 10 minutes north of Whistler. Complimentary shuttles to the venue run from the Gondola Transit Exchange on Blackcomb Way or from the Blackcomb Day Lodge on Blackcomb Way.

Guests are required to meet their complimentary shuttle at the time listed on their ticket.

Vallea Lumina Information and Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear to Vallea Lumina?

Wear comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes and bring extra clothing layers as temperatures can drop in the evening. Insect repellent is also recommended.

What do I do with my ticket?

You will not need to show your ticket to access the complimentary shuttle however please have your ticket ready on your smart device or printed to present at the venue.

Can I bring my camera to the show?

Yes! Bring a camera to document your journey however flash photography is prohibited.

Would this experience be suggested for young children, elderly people or for people with reduced mobility?

The entire experience takes place outside within a trail network which is partially leveled but not asphalted. These paths are not recommended for people with reduced mobility since they consist of several steep staircases, that are both up and down. Using a baby carrier is recommended although strollers are not recommended including the off-road/sports models.

How long does it take to walk through Vallea Lumina?

Vallea Lumina is a 1.5 km trail through an old-growth forest. It takes approximately 50 - 80 minutes to walk through the show. Please plan for the experience including transportation to take 2 hours.

Are restrooms available at the entrance or during the journey?

Restrooms are available at the venue before you begin the experience as well as after you complete it.

Is it possible to eat on site?

The Cougar Cafe, an on-site snack bar, will allow you to discover several local product flavours and is located at the entrance area.

Is there parking available at the venue?

No, access to and from Cougar Mountain for Vallea Lumina is available by complimentary shuttle only. Please meet your complimentary shuttle at the time listed on your ticket at the Gondola Transit Exchange on Blackcomb Way or from the Blackcomb Day Lodge (Upper Village) on Blackcomb Way.

Does the show still run if it’s raining?

Yes! The show will run rain or shine.

What happens if I show up late?

You will be able to enter the site even if you are late, however you may be delayed if other showtimes are sold out. Please note that entry will not be permiteted prior to you reserved

Is there strobe lighting effects during the show?

Strobe lighting effects are used during this show. Guests that may suffer from epilepsy or are affected by visual light stimulation effects are advised to contact the ranger staff prior to embarking on the walk.

Is there alcohol for sale on site?

The Adventure Group has a strict zero tolerance alcohol and drug policy for all activities including Vallea Lumina.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are not permitted on site.
