About Tantalus Resort Lodge
The Tantalus Resort Lodge is favorite year round destination for families and groups. The lodge is located just a 5 minute walk away from the Whistler and Blackcomb gondolas and Village. Highlights of the suites include real wood burning fireplaces and the largest private balconies in Whistler. Each suite has a fully equipped kitchen and mountain or forest views.
Amenities at the lodge include an outdoor heated pool, two outdoor hot tubs, sauna and secure equipment storage. For convenience the Tantalus Lodge also operates a complimentary daily ski shuttle during the winter months. During the summer months guests love the tennis courts with complementary racquets and balls, beach volleyball court, picnic and BBQ area and kids playground.
One Bedroom Suite: One queen bed or 2 twin beds in the bedroom and a double sofa bed in the living room. A full kitchen with plates, cutlery and glassware for six place settings. Full size appliances, oven and dishwasher, cooking utensils and pots and pans. Coffee maker with complimentary coffee and tea, LCD television, In room safe, Cordless telephone and Pay movie access.
Two Bedroom Suite: Two separate bedrooms with a queen bed in one and two twins in the second bedroom. Two full baths, a queen sofabed, living room and dining room. If you want to be close to your group without feeling crammed into a room, this is the perfect accommodation for you. Full kitchen living and dining room with balcony and fireplace.
Two Bedroom Bunk Bed Suite: If you have a large family and don’t want to pay for two rooms; this is the perfect solution for you. Identical to a two bedroom suite with the added feature of a bunk bed. Two separate bedrooms with a queen bed in one and two twins in the second bedroom and 1 set of bunk beds. Two full baths, a queen sofabed, living room and dining room. Full kitchen living and dining room with balcony and fireplace.
Two Bedroom Premier Suite: A staircase leads you to your top floor suite with vaulted ceilings and you immediately feel the ski lodge experience. Your suite will have a roof top deck overlooking the mountains and a second balcony facing the back of the hotel where peace and tranquility rule. Each premier suite has vaulted ceilings, a queen size bedroom and a second bedroom with two twin beds, full kitchen, living room and dining room.

This hotel ticks a lot of boxes if you need space. Our apartment was huge and comfortable - it was great to have two bedrooms and two bathrooms, plus a good amount of kitchen and living space. Yes, it’s not ultra modern but it was fine for us. The kids loved the pool and the hot tub was very relaxing. A 5-min walk to town and you’ll in the hubbub of Whistler. Was one of the most affordable options for us and we would stay again.

Very nice hotel, good rooms, good vieuw, lots of things to do and nice staff. The area around the hotel is absolutely packed tho, very busy. Wasent staying long enough to rate it higher or lower. BalonGaz!

My experience again was 10/10. I love how Veronique at the front desk always goes above and beyond. It dosent matter if it’s first thing in the morning or late… she is amazing and so helpful. I will come again and in fact just rebooked with her for May . I love it here !!!

If I could give a 0 as a review I would. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. On June 8 at 7am as I was checking out I noticed that I was charged for my stay for the second time. I was assured by the front desk staff that it was refunded to my credit card. I advised that it did not show a pending refund and was assured that it would show up in a day or two. I’ve worked in retail so I know how it’s processed. I sent a follow up email. On June 11, the manager Aaron responded to my email that he was sorry for the delay but he was investigating and would get back to me. I never heard back. A refund has never been posted to my account.
I called my bank this morning and was told that there isn’t a refund (not even pending) to my account. After I explained what happened (they also let a guest in my room charge items to my room and they applied it to my credit card). They suggested that I file a fraud claim. I advised them that I would reach out to Tantalus again today and if it isn’t resolved I would call back and file the fraud claim.
I sent another very detailed email. At 130pm I called and asked to speak to Aaron. He had stepped out. I advised it was urgent for him to call me back. At 416pm I called again and Aaron answered. He was running the front desk short staffed. He advised he had been on days off and hadn’t got caught up on my emails. I advised him that my bank suggested a fraud claim if this wasn’t resolved. He told me to do whatever I have to do. He also said that he has forwarded everything to the general manager.
Funny how they can charge my card and get that instantly but I’m chasing my tail trying to get my money back that they overcharged me. 7 full banking days have passed.
Not only is this unacceptable, it’s outrageous.
I certainly hope that the general manager sees this and calls me immediately because I will be contacting my bank tomorrow about filing a fraud claim.
I would suggest checking your credit card before leaving.

The service was really bad. They made is wait half n hour to bring our bottles from the room that we forgot in the fridge after checkout. Also, I have never seen that a guest is charged for parking of $25 plus taxes per night to park a car. The parking should be free for guests as there are hardly any parking spots available near by.
