The room is spacious. It’s close to the village. It’s good for a small family. Pool and hot tub are clean and well maintained.

Great location, very close to ski runs, clean and overvall all positive features for and locative housing expect for one major flaw.

This stay seriously impacted our holiday. The mattress offers virtually no support — it has barely any spring and feels more like a very soft futon than a proper mattress. After just one night, we developed lower back pain, which persisted throughout our entire week-long ski trip for not having other choices but to sleep on the floor and alternate to the sofa bed.

The management team quickly tried to assist but only brought softer pillow top mattress.

The owner response was that comfort is personal to which I say that in any respectable Airbnb or hotel, beds are typically medium-firm or medium-soft to accommodate the majority of guests. A extreme soft mattress with no support is not standard and is simply not appropriate for a rental property, especially one catering to travelers who are physically active.

This is not a matter of personal preference — it’s a basic comfort and support issue which owners seems to not understand. If bed offers medium support we would have given a 5 out of 5 review.

Until the mattress is replaced with one that provides proper support, I cannot recommend this Airbnb, particularly for skiers or active travelers.

We stayed this past week for 2 nights and had cut our trip short due to the construction going on around our unit. Make sure you read the recent reviews before you book!

Pros:

We stayed in room 309, and our host Conor was very helpful and responsive. The unit itself was very nice. The bathroom with the oversized shower was the highlight of the apartment. The location was great, and I found free parking on the street a short walk away, saving me the $25 to park underground for 24 hours.
The walk to and from the village was really nice.

Cons:

The queen bed in the bedroom and pillows were very uncomfortable. I slept on the right side and felt like I was going to roll off the bed as it had a slope to it.

I tried sleeping on the pull out couch the second night. The couch side sunk in, and the mattress was even more uncomfortable than the bed. The couch and mattress together is the size of a full or large twin, definetly not a queen.

I just don't get why people cheap out on things like a mattress. Makes such a difference having a comfortable bed, especially when you're out being active all day.

What ruined our trip was the construction. We would come back to our room after a day of activity to relax and unwind, and a guy would literally walk across our living room window. The scaffolding completely obstructed our view of the mountain. On our second day, there was construction from 8am to 8pm.

The ventilation in the apartment isn't great, so we slept with the windows open. The sprinkler system comes on around 4am and was super loud as the water hit the scaffolding and all the metal pieces, almost sounded like someone was shoveling gravel outside our window. This woke me up both nights that we stayed.

We were originally booked for 3 nights and cut our trip short because of this and got refunded for our 3rd night plus an extra $70ish as I had asked for an additional refund. If we had known about the construction, we would have stayed elsewhere, so lesson learned for next time, always read the most revent reviews and ask about construction before booking.

I still think that we overpaid for what we got and told the host that they should really let people know about construction ahead of time.

I understand the owners need to cover their nut financially, but charging over $300/night with fees and taxes and everything for this was just not worth it. Even with our additional refund. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

We're offered a well organized room with a spacious living room and neat kitchen full of utensils and tools, and even freezer and dishwasher. Pool is easy to access and well maintained and small kids can play without tube because it's not too deep. Village is within enough walking distance. I'll come back soon.

My spouse and I brought our son to Whistler from Colorado to celebrate his Birthday. The building is a little on the older side but it is neat and clean, and the hot tub has a glass rotunda surrounding it that enables you to see the night sky. Everything worked great, the thing that's really fantastic about the Marquise, besides the amazing views, is the proximity to the lifts. Its easy to ski out to the lift and ski back near the building after a long day on the slopes. We loved the location, views, parking was a breeze, and the apartment we stayed in. We can easily see coming back...
