Tourism Whistler & Whistler.com's Environmental Initiatives
As Whistler's Tourism Bureau and operators of the resort's Official Reservation Centre, Tourism Whistler & Whistler.com share the community's dedication to the environment.
- Whistler.com is currently developing an inventory of the greenhouse gas emissions of its corporate operations and services. Whistler.com is also developing a strategy for reducing these emissions, where possible, and purchasing high-quality carbon offsets for emissions that cannot be avoided. This strategy is being put in place with the goal of Whistler.com becoming carbon neutral in the future.
- Tourism Whistler & Whistler.com have established a Green Committee that regularly meets to develop and implement green strategies within the workplace, such as promoting recycling and composting in its offices, and utilizing technology so employees can share information electronically, thereby reducing the amount of paper used internally.
- Tourism Whistler uses post-consumer recycled paper for all its printed advertising and marketing materials and brochures.
