Whistler by Train

Whistler by Rail

Take the train and discover the dramatic beauty of the mountains and ocean from a unique perspective. The Amtrak Cascades train provides service from Seattle or Oregon to Vancouver, with the final leg to Whistler completed by bus. Amtrak Cascades trains feature a special technology that uses gravity to tilt through curves, ensuring the smoothest ride possible. They are built for speed and comfort, travelling at top speed of 79 mph (127 km/hour).

During the summer months, the Rocky Mountaineer Sea to Sky Climb train offers scenic service between Vancouver and Whistler. During your three and a half hour train trip you’ll travel through the scenic Howe Sound, the Cheakamus Canyon and past the snow-capped peaks of the Tantalus Mountains.
