The Amtrak Cascades train provides service from Seattle or Oregon to Vancouver, with the final leg to Whistler completed by bus. Amtrak Cascades trains feature a special technology that uses gravity to tilt through curves, ensuring the smoothest ride possible. They are built for speed and comfort, travelling at top speed of 79 mph (127 km/hour).
During the summer months, the Rocky Mountaineer Sea to Sky Climb train offers scenic service between Vancouver and Whistler. During your three and a half hour train trip you’ll travel through the scenic Howe Sound, the Cheakamus Canyon and past the snow-capped peaks of the Tantalus Mountains.

Rocky Mountaineer Rates
Rocky Mountaineer train service is available Thursday through Monday during the summer months. Classic Service runs from May 18 to September 26, 2012 and Dome Service runs from June 14 to August 24, 2012. Children under 2 years old ride free.
