More than 20 backcountry photographers will battle for bragging rights as the winner of the “People's Choice” and the “Best in Show" awards. Photography will be judged by a panel of experts in the photography industry. All can come and view the photography in the Scotia Creek Gallery at Millennium Place.

Join the Whistler Arts Council at the launch party for "Out of Bounds, Tales from the Backcountry," a month-long photo contest and exhibit featuring entries from more than 20 emerging and professional backcountry photographers from British Columbia. The evening boasts a chance to view all the photographers' entries, great food, music and door prizes. Guests can cast their vote for the "People's Choice" award at the launch party or throughout the month of October with a chance to win a heli-skiing trip.
Whistler 50 Relay and Ultra Marathon

Experience the friendship of fellow participants through this 8-person team relay event and ultra marathon. Relay legs will alternate between 8 km and 12 km. The 50 mile (80 km) total distance is an achievable goal for novice ultra-marathoners and is a recognized qualifying distance for Western States or National Team selection.
