Cross-Country Skiing Venues

Whistler offers three fantastic trail systems for cross-country skiing. Lost Lake Park is located right in Whistler Village while Callaghan Country and Whistler Olympic Park can be found just 15 minutes south of Whistler, off Highway 99.

Lost Lake Park

Cross CountryLost Lake Park features 32 km of trails and has wonderful views of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. Located in Whistler Village, Lost Lake Cross Country Connection offers lessons and tours for beginners to advanced skiers, seven days a week. The trails are groomed daily for classic and skate technique and four kilometers are lit for enjoying evening runs. Check out the current trail conditions.

There are no snack bars on the trail system but The Den restaurant in the Nicklaus North Clubhouse is open for dinner and après from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm daily. There are water stations and a warming hut available along the trails so bring a packed lunch. Or, you can always make your way over to the Village for lunch and pick up where you left off afterwards. You can easily walk to the shop at the Lost Lake trailhead to buy a pass and/or rent equipment, or jump on the FREE Village Shuttle and the driver will drop you off at Day Lot 4, which is just a short walk away. Adult 1-day cross-country passes are $17, youth (age 13-18) tickets are $10 and children (age 6-12) are $8.50. A family day pass is $34.

Callaghan Country

Cross CountryCallaghan Country is located just 13 km south of Whistler (off Highway 99) and offers remote access cross-country skiing along with a backcountry skiing wilderness retreat. There are 42 km of track designed for light Nordic ski touring. Trails are track-set for classic skiing; skate skiing is sometimes an option, depending on weather and trail conditions. The rolling terrain is perfect for beginner and intermediate skiers but advanced skiers will enjoy the variety too.

Adult 1-day cross-country passes: $20
Youth (age 13-18): $12
Children (age 6-12): $10
Family day pass: $40.

Whistler Olympic Park

The brand new Whistler Olympic Park is where all the Nordic events took place during the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Cross Country
