How long is the shuttle from Vancouver to Whistler?
Whistler is about 120 km (75 miles) from Vancouver along the Sea to Sky
Highway. Shuttles from Downtown Vancouver typically take 1 hour 45
minutes to 2 hours, while trips from Vancouver International Airport
(YVR) take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. Travel times vary with traffic,
weather and road conditions, especially in winter.
Which shuttles depart from Vancouver Airport (YVR)?
Whistler Shuttle and
YVR Skylynx both depart from Vancouver
International Airport. If you're starting in Downtown Vancouver, choose
YVR Skylynx or
Epic Rides.
Where will the shuttle drop me off?
Whistler Shuttle offers drop-off at
participating Whistler hotels and accommodations.
YVR Skylynx and
Epic Rides arrive in Whistler Village, within
walking distance of many hotels, restaurants and the lifts.
Do shuttle schedules change by season?
Yes. Departure times and frequency change throughout the year, with more
departures typically offered during the winter season. Select your
travel date when you check availability to see the current schedule for
each operator.
Booking & Tickets
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for holidays,
weekends and the winter season. Online reservations close 24 hours

Can I save by booking a round trip?
Yes. Whistler Shuttle and
YVR Skylynx currently offer savings on
round-trip bookings.
Are there discounted fares for children?
Child fares are available, and young children may travel free with some
operators. Age ranges and pricing vary, so review the fares for your
selected operator when booking.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation policies vary by operator. Review the terms shown during
booking and on your confirmation, or call our Travel Consultants at

Luggage & Equipment
How much luggage can I bring?
Fares typically include checked luggage, a small carry-on and a ski,
snowboard or golf bag per person. Allowances, weight limits and fees for
extra or oversized items vary by operator, so review the luggage policy
when booking.
Can I bring my bike?
Bikes are generally accepted seasonally and based on available space.
They usually need to be boxed or bagged and added at the time of
booking, and an additional fee may apply.
Can my pet travel with me?
Pets are generally not permitted on shared shuttles, with the exception
of trained service animals. If you're travelling with a pet, consider a
private transfer.
On Board
Are there washrooms and Wi-Fi on board?
It depends on the operator and vehicle.
YVR Skylynx coaches offer free Wi-Fi and
washrooms on regular services, and Epic Rides
motorcoaches have onboard washrooms.
Whistler Shuttle vehicles do not have
washrooms or Wi-Fi, but drivers will make a comfort stop on request when
safe to do so.
Do I need to bring a car seat for young children?
Car seat availability and compatibility vary by vehicle, and shared
shuttles can't always guarantee a vehicle type. If you need to be
certain your child can use a car seat, we recommend booking a
private transfer.
Can the shuttle make stops along the way?
Shared shuttles follow set routes with limited stops, so stops for
groceries or other errands aren't available. If you'd like to stop on
the way to Whistler, book a
private transfer.
Flights & Airport Transfers
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Enter your flight details when booking and let the operator know if your
flight changes. Airport services adjust to delays within their operating
hours where possible, but policies for late arrivals vary. Check your
confirmation for the operator's contact details.
Where do I meet the shuttle at YVR?
Meeting points vary by operator and are included in your booking
confirmation. Whistler Shuttle offers
meet-and-greet service inside the airport terminal.
How early should I leave Whistler to catch my flight?
We recommend leaving Whistler at least 5 hours before your flight
departs. The Sea to Sky Highway is the only road between Whistler and
Vancouver, so weather and traffic incidents can cause delays. Shuttle
operators can't guarantee you'll make your flight, so comprehensive
travel insurance is recommended.
