Our visit to Whistler’s Grill & Vine was made unforgettable thanks to our amazing server, Nick and the unforgettable sunset view over the mountains. But from the moment we sat down, he brought an incredible energy to the table, sharing hilarious jokes that kept us laughing and offering top-notch recommendations that made choosing from the menu easy. The food itself was delicious flavorful and so so good but it was truly Nick who elevated the entire experience. His friendly attitude, sharp sense of humor and genuine care for our dining experience made this one of the best service experiences we’ve ever had. Honestly, Nick is the reason Grill & Vine earns a solid five stars from us! ??????

We came for both the breakfast buffet along with dinner to get an idea of what the hotel to offer because we were there for a few days. The breakfast buffet is amazing, with an omelette station and many different options. Usually I skip breakfast to get to the mountain early, however, this is one meal I would not skip!
For dinner, it’s a typical American style tavern food, with nothing too exciting to stand out from any other hotel restaurant. The meal was delicious, and it was fairly priced for being in the hotel.

So we went for the Thursday’s BBQ special for $39. A lot of the staff said that it was portioned well and that there would be left overs so plan for takeaway. There was 4 of us total and we ordered 3 portion. We knew it was trouble when the food came out in about 7-10 minutes. It is a set menu, family style but the way it is set up just doesn’t make sense.
Menu includes:
Hawaiian rolls - this is your standard roles you can get at any supermarket. Husband actually saw the packaging by the kitchen since we were facing the kitchen.
Mac and cheese - it was good.
Cauliflower bites and corn - corn was soooo overcooked and tasted like it’s been sitting out. Cauliflower bites were frozen bites that they didn’t make in store and weren’t fresh.
Now for the meat:
Steak was chewy as F! I literally almost chocked swallowing it.
The chicken was super dry and the prawns were overcooked. The pork however wasn’t too bad.
The best part about this menu was the salads. They were actually delicious.
Overall, I wouldn’t ever order it again. The portions don’t make sense since they are all proportioned. So the portion for 2 people and 4 would have the same portion of salad, Mac and cheese and cauliflower bites. They just increase the number of meats needs per person.
However, if you are looking for a menu that has everything in it and mediocre food that’s not the best quality, definitely check it out.
