THis review relates to arrowhead 19 only.
When you rent a property for two weeks you hope that you get a property manager who will make your stay enjoyable, not one who will blame you for the issues and challenge every comment you make. The latter is the one you get here.
Firstly, the property. Its ok. While it is photographed to look better than other properties, it’s no better than others on the benchlands and we have stayed in many over the past twenty years. The boot room is better that most, but that’s where it ends. The hot tub is off the master bedroom. Every night the pump turns on numerous times per night. Its noisy. The washing machine looks new, but it takes over three hours to run a wash. We reported this on day 2/ Was it fixed over a 14 day stay? … No.
The internet was intermittent, with extended periods of no service for our entire stay. We reported this on day 2. On day 4 the manager responded that she had spoken with Telus and we had overloaded the download. Apparently, we had used all three TVs and 6 other devices at the same time. It was our fault. Bear in mind there were only two of us here. It wasn’t us, but we were blamed for it. Was it fixed over a 14 day stay?… No
Cleanliness and Neglect: When we arrived, every plate, pot or pan, piece of cutlery and utensil that we used were dirty. The place mats had food all over them. There was no dish cloth and 1 tea towel for a 2 week stay. We reported this on day 2. On day four the cleaner returned, but we had already cleaned what we needed. Three days later the cleaner came for a mid-clean and forgot to change the sheets on both beds. We reported it. They came 27 hours later as we were making dinner. When we noted that the timing was inconvenient/ The manager’s response was not an apology but “The cleaners did not realize that they had a time frame”
In the unit there are 6 internal and 2 external light globes that are not working. This is representative of how little care the owner / manager takes in maintaining this rental.
When we arrived, the spa had a ring of scum on it. The manager’s response was that it is serviced. Maybe I was mistaken. I had to send her a photo to prove my point.
These are the major issues we had but there were many others. When we asked for some of our rent back we were told to contact VRBO. I assume because it’s their fault, not the managers. Not sure how that works.
