Are all positions with Tourism Whistler based in Whistler?
The majority of our positions are located in Whistler, however, some of our Sales team, due to the market they sell, do work remotely. Specific location for a position will be included on the job posting. Employees who work remotely are required to travel to Whistler on a regular basis.

Will I have to travel to Whistler for an in-person interview?
We prefer for you to be here in person but would arrange a phone or Skype interview for our initial screening if it's not possible for you to travel to Whistler. You will be expected to travel to Whistler for an in-person meeting if you are selected for a second interview.

I applied for a position and have not heard anything, what should I do?
Once you submit your application through our online application process we will send you a confirmation email to let you know it has been received. If you are selected for an interview, we will contact you to schedule an initial interview. If you are not selected for an interview, we will not contact you directly. All applicants will be contacted once the position has been filled.

I need sponsorship in order to secure a Canadian Working Visa, can Tourism Whistler help?
In order to move through the interview process with Tourism Whistler you need to be eligible to work in Canada. Tourism Whistler is not able to assist you in securing a Canadian Working Visa. To do so we would have to prove that no other Canadian would be able to fill the position and based on the nature of our organization and our applicant pool, in most situations that is difficult for us.

While we are primarily a year-round employer, we have some seasonal positions at the Whistler Golf Club. For year-round positions, while we do not want to discourage any great candidates, ideally we would like a minimum of a two-year commitment.

I want to work on the mountain(s).
Tourism Whistler is the official marketing organization for Whistler. We employ approximately 65 year-round employees to ensure our success in bringing people to Whistler and generating business for our members. In the summer our employee numbers increase as we also manage the operations for the Whistler Golf Club.

If you are looking for a job that involves working on the mountain as a ski instructor, or various other positions that get you outside, you should contact Whistler Blackcomb. They are the largest employer in the Resort and manage all the operations that happen on Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains.
