Whistler voted best ski resort by Luxury Travel Magazine

For the 5th year in a row, Whistler Blackcomb has been voted best Overseas Ski Resort by the readers of Australia’s Luxury Travel magazine. The magazine also named the Fairmont Chateau Whistler as the best International Ski Hotel.

Whistler named top ski resort town

Conde Nast Traveler magazine has named Whistler the best ski resort town in North America in their annual ski poll. Whistler also won for best après-ski, best activities and best local dining.

Whistler Blackcomb ranked #1 Ski Resort in North America for 12th year in a row.

Skiing Magazine has once again named Whistler Blackcomb the best ski resort in North America. For an unprecedented 12th year, readers voted Whistler as the place they want to ski most. Skiing’s Best Après Scene award went to Whistler’s Garibaldi Lift Company for its great food and variety of live concerts. In addition, SKI Magazine’s Top 50 Resort Guide ranked Whistler #3 overall for the second year in a row.

Whistler Blackcomb received a top 5 ranking in eight categories: Terrain/Variety (No. 1), Après-Ski (No. 2), Off Hill Activities (No. 3), Lifts (No. 3), Lodging (No. 3), Dining (No. 4), Terrain/Challenge (No. 5) and Terrain Parks (No. 5).

The new PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola has been awarded the best North American Resort Development 2008 by a leading UK publication.
