As a legendary, world-class skiing and snowboarding destination, you can’t go wrong with a wintery getaway to the slopes of Whistler, Canada. It’s one of the biggest resorts in North America with one of the longest seasons spanning November to May. And although Whistler might be best known as a skier’s playground, there are plenty of other attractions, restaurants and activities to indulge in during your luxury winter getaway.

For instance, sports enthusiasts can explore Whistler Olympic Park, where they held some of the Nordic events during the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. You can even slide down the very track the Olympians did at the Whistler Sliding Centre with Passenger Bobsleigh and Public Skeleton. Can’t do that everywhere now, can you? On the other hand, those who want to participate in some retail therapy can stroll around the pedestrianized Whistler Village to explore the various shops and dine in its award-winning restaurants and bars.

Until Next Time Whistler

As we packed our bags and bid farewell to the majestic mountains and cozy village vibes, we couldn’t help but reflect on our unforgettable experiences. From outdoor adventures to indulgent massages and gourmet dining, Whistler truly delivered on every front.

Come for winter, stay for summer, was a sentiment shared by several locals during our time in Whistler. As we wound our way south along the Sea to Sky highway with its epic views of the Pacific Ocean, fringed by giant spruce trees and snow-capped mountains playing peek-a-boo behind a blanket of fog, I could totally see why that sentiment is a consensus. With this type of beauty and topography, Whistler is undoubtedly a destination to be enjoyed year-round. I wonder what a luxury getaway in the summer would look like…

This spring, for every third night you book between March 1 - April 30, 2024, receive a free $75 CAD Whistler Après Voucher. Book your summer stay by April 30, 2024, and save up to 30% on lodging and 20% on activities. Plus, you’ll receive a free $150 Activity Voucher on stays of 3 or more nights.
