It’s almost here! The 22nd year of Cornucopia presented by BlueShore Financial starts this Thursday November 8, promising to be the biggest and best festival of food and drink Whistler has ever seen.

Here at the Insider we’ve gone through the schedule and dug out ideas for the new and curious, the party animals, the entertainers, wine buffs and industry insiders, fans of arts and culture, eating for health and wellness and the craft beer fans. Now we’re coming down to the wire, it’s time to shoot straight and reach for the liquor bottle.

The world of spirits is not for the faint-hearted. In large quantities hard liquor can scorch the taste buds and lead to questionable life choices, but when sipped and sampled, mixed with intelligence and consumed in the company of good people they offer a world of distilled discovery (and potentially nights of unrivaled sophistication). Thanks to the myriad of events at Cornucopia, you can dip your toe into the world of spirits at a tasting, expand your palate and learn more about your favourite liquor – be it gin, vodka or scotch – at a seminar or go all in with a themed dinner or night of art. Take a look at the options, and be sure to get your tickets soon, lest you be disappointed.

She’s collected scars, bikes for (almost) every occasion, a small trail dog and a love of craft beer plus a rudimentary understanding of skiing, snowboarding, sketching, and the art of chairlift conversations. She currently believes a combination of gravity, snow, dirt and rad people are what make Whistler tick but investigations are ongoing.
