What started as a single farm stand and a few local crafters back in the summer of 1994 has grown into one of Whistler’s most loved summer traditions — the Whistler Farmers’ Market.
Every Sunday from Victoria Day (mid-May) to Thanksgiving (mid-October), Whistler’s Upper Village Stroll transforms into a bustling market, hosting an average of 60 vendors per market and 100 different vendors throughout the season.

As a registered non-profit, the Whistler Farmers’ Market proudly follows the 100 percent made, baked, grown or raised policy of the BC Association of Farmers’ Markets. That means everything you see is locally and lovingly crafted — right here in British Columbia.

Fresh & Local Produce
The Whistler Farmers’ Market showcases a vibrant mix of local farms bringing in fresh, seasonal produce from the Sea to Sky region and across BC. From fresh veggies and fruit to local butter, honey, meat and seafood — the Market has everything you need to stock up for the week.

Four Beat Farm is a market regular, bringing organic veggies, greens, fruits, and flowers from our neighbouring town of Pemberton. Everything’s in-season and straight from the field. Later in the summer (usually from late July to October), Willowcraft Farm comes in from the Birken Valley with garlic, berries, fruit and stunning buckets of flowers. You can even build your own bouquet!
You can find an incredible variety of mushrooms from Sea to Sky Wild Mushrooms, from Lion’s Mane to Oyster and everything in between. If you’re into blueberries (and who isn’t?), don’t miss Hare’s Farm. They bring their sweet, certified organic Pemberton blueberries to the market, typically from mid-July through early September. You can shop for more berries and fruit varieties from Mandair Farms (from Abbotsford), Playlist Lavender (bringing yummy cherries from the Okanagan region) and AIG Produce Osoyoos.
At the Whistler Farmers’ Market, you can also shop for ethically sourced meats and seafood. Pemberton Meat Co. and Goodfish Seafood have you covered with local, sustainable options. Locally made butter and farm-fresh eggs are available from Artemisia Farmstead, so you can really get all of your weekly grocery shopping done locally at the Market.

On-Site Food and Treats
My number one tip when visiting the Whistler Farmers’ Market is to arrive hungry. There is so much incredible food to eat, from hot lunch items like pizza from Whistler Wood Fired Pizza, savoury and sweet crepes from Folie Crepes, scallion pancakes from Taiwan Bento, sausage rolls from The British Baker, samosas from Nidhi’s Cuisine or Okonomiyaki from Jeggs (to name a few). Top it off with a snow cone from Frostbites or popcorn from Sargeant Popper’s Kettle Corn.

Waste Management
Since 2013, the Whistler Farmers’ Market has partnered with AWARE, Whistler’s environmental charity, to keep market waste out of the landfill. AWARE hosts a zero-waste station at every Sunday Market, helping market customers separate waste items for recycling or composting in an effort to achieve zero waste.
Next time you head to the market, remember to bring your reusable shopping and produce bags. And for all the waste items you can’t avoid, visit the Zero Waste station in the middle of the market!
The Coupon Program
The Whistler Farmers’ Market works with the BC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Coupon Program and Whistler Community Services to provide a healthy eating initiative that supports farmers’ markets and strengthens food security within the community. Coupons are provided to lower-income families, pregnant people and seniors. The coupons can be spent to purchase vegetables, fruits, nuts, eggs, dairy, honey, meat and fish.
