A Year of Whistler Photos From Travellers in 2022

Most of us started 2022 off cautious, yet optimistic. We quietly wondered if this would be the year normalcy finally returned, a year of moving forward. We left the comforts (and confines) of our homes and reconnected with loved ones and stretched our sights to new horizons. At last, it was time to dust off our suitcases and resume those bucket list travel plans we put on hold for far too long.

Whistler Village slowly returned to its bustling, vibrant self as we welcomed back travellers from all over the world. Events like Whistler Beer Festival, Cornucopia and GranFondo all returned for the first time in several years. The excitement over the return to travel has been palpable and we’re stoked to share with you a snapshot of the thrill and adventure that makes Whistler so unique.

The photo galleries below are from visitors and locals who explored Whistler this year and gave us permission to share their images by tagging them #OnlyInWhistler on Instagram. We hope that they fill you with excitement and give you some inspiration for your 2023 travel plans. And perhaps your photos will grace our blog in the years to come!
