Whistler Olympic Park Bear Safari - Information

    Bear Viewing Safari Information

All tours are guaranteed private to the booking party/family only (minimum two people per booking required).

Experience the Whistler Olympic Park like it’s your own private oasis as you explore the 2010 Legacy Trail network. Immerse yourself in a pristine, intact ecosystem in which mother bears, cubs, and males searching for mates, roam freely and untagged, providing spectacular viewing and photography opportunities.

4x4 to the top of the Olympic Ski Jumps and brave the gatehouse for a gold-medal view. You’ll be amazed by the Olympic rings, biathlon, and training facilities, all in the heart of where our resident black bear population eat, sleep, mate and raise their young. Experience private lakes, lookouts, waterfalls, bear dens, tracks and tree markings, and feast on berries straight from the bush.

Whether you pack your camera or just your phone, our guides will help you find the perfect memory to take home. From award-winning photographers to geologists, ecologists and even a wildlife veterinarian, Whistler Photo Safaris attracts top guides each season to provide you with an educational and entertaining experience.

A guide will pick you up and drop you off at your accommodations or another convenient location in Whistler.

There are several photographic points of interest where you will get out of the vehicle so wear appropriate footwear and layered clothing as temperatures can change quickly in the mountains. Each vehicle is equipped with insect repellant or you may bring your own.

All ages welcome, booster seats are available. Infant car seats must be supplied and installed by the guest. While our guides are dedicated to tracking bears throughout the season’s climatic conditions and food supplies can, from time to time, limit our viewing opportunities.
