Whistler Presents Summer Concert Series 2016: Who’s Playing?

“A great song should lift your heart, warm the soul and make you feel good.”Colbie Caillait

The popular outdoor concert series is returning to Whistler for the sixth year in a row, featuring live music in Whistler Olympic Plaza every weekend from July 28 until the final show on September 10, 2016. Here at the Insider we’re huge fans of spending time outdoors, so any excuse to linger outside into the evening with a bunch of like-minded people, tunes and mountain views is alright by us.

Acts signed up to play the free music concerts this year include Deya Doya, Steel Pulse, Jose Gonzalez, Hannah Georgas, The Strumbellas, Sarah Harmer, Whitehorse, The Acoustical Sounds of Big Sugar, Mother Mother and Steven Page, even a special live stream of the last ever Tragically Hip concert – it’s a delightful smorgasbord of acts sure to get you singing, dancing and generally having a very good time along with a whole bunch of other happy holiday makers.

For those who just can’t wait to boogie there’s a special pre-festival concert this Wednesday, July 13 to kick off the Pemberton Music Festival featuring Jon Shrier, Frankie, Givers, The Funk Hunters and the Arkells. Check out the concert line-up below and get your dancing shoes ready for more music under the stars.
