Whistler has been a part of Lisa Lefroy’s life since before she can remember. Her parents met here back in the sixties and she grew up riding the “tin can” Creekside gondola to ski racing. She started snowboarding when she was thirteen and competed in various snowboard comps through the years and is now very passionate about riding the amazing backcountry and tree terrain that Whistler has to offer. At 21, a friend gave her a mountain bike claiming that she would fall in love with the sport and it quickly became her number one focus. The amazingly challenging and endless terrain that the corridor has to offer, coupled with some of the most talented athletes in the sport, would act as the training and coaching she needed to establish herself as a professional freerider. Lisa has traveled the world competing and representing mountain biking and in 2007 Decline Magazine named her one of the Most Influential People in Freeride Mountain Biking.
