Nordic Skiing and Snowshoeing
Experience the charm and warmth of traditional ski centre culture and play outdoors in nature – cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ski touring, exercise the dog and at the end of it all, cozy up to the trailside bonfire, or relax at an authentic high elevation backcountry lodge. Onsite services include equipment rentals, tours, all-inclusive packages and snowcat shuttle.

2023/24 Tickets and Adventures
All adventures start from the full service Alexander Falls Touring Centre, conveniently located at the first entrance to Callaghan Valley Nordic. Callaghan Country is the wild and wooly side of the Callaghan Valley Nordic experience; slightly informal and built with the intent to reconnect you to the natural world. Adventures are handcrafted by a small and eclectic crew of mountain loving individuals delivering experiences of a distinct “local flavour” with fine-tuned attention to value and authenticity.

| Callaghan Lake Snowcat Shuttle |
Looking for a unique backcountry experience and an escape from the crowds? Ideal for intermediate to advanced cross country skiers, this package includes a full XC ski rental equipment package along with a 1-way ride in the comfortably heated 14 passenger snowcat during it’s grooming run from Alexander Falls Ski Touring Center to Callaghan Lake. This is a one way transfer service. All skiers must have requisite skier skill levels to negotiate the ski descent exit back down Mainline or Wild Spirit trails. |

Snowshoeing

- Snowshoe to the base of Alexander Falls, an iconic 150’ waterfall, known to freeze entirely during extra cold months
- Select dog-friendly trails
Backcountry Ski Touring
- The natural cross-over activity for skiers not defined by downhill or nordic stereotypes
- Spend the days exploring fresh and completely untouched Coast Mountain powder, steep terrain and stunning mountain vistas
- Experience rugged, natural Whistler – no lift lines, no chairlifts. Hike to the top and truly earn your turn
Journeyman Lodge
- Visit the Callaghan Country’s backcountry lodge located at the heart of this spectacular Nordic recreation area
- Friendly hospitality, great food and comfortable lodging in sub-alpine wilderness
- Accommodation for up to 24 people (15 singles) in 8 private rooms
- Reservations dining room that seats up to 40 people
- Socialize in the inviting fireside lounge area or gear up the competitive spirit with a game of pool, ping-pong, or darts
Callaghan Lake Snow Shuttle
- Shuttle Service in the comfortably heated 15-passenger snowcat during it's grooming run to the higher elevations of Callaghan's Nordic trail network
- Available to Backcountry Tourers and Cross-country skiers
- Two morning ascent departures, 8:30 & 11 AM, that drop you at the Callaghan Lake Turn-around, where you will embark on higher elevation Nordic skiing or play in true untouched backcountry wilderness
- Afternoon descent departure at 3 PM for a cozy and swift ride back down to the parking lot
