The nightlife in Whistler has become almost as famous as the skiing & snowboarding on Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. There's a great reason for that, with everything from world famous DJs to a vibrant live music scene, Whistler has something for all ages and tastes. If something quieter is more to your liking, Whistler offers many lounges and pubs where you'll find that refreshing pint or perfect martini. This list is only a sampling of Whistler's fine establishments and venues.

Whistler's Nightlife & Aprés Hot Spots

Savage Beagle Bar

The aprés-ski crowd, Whistler locals and late night revellers all meet up at this hotspot located right in the heart of the village. The Savage Beagle is the only venue known for its world-class fresh squeezed juice martinis, ice-cold beer and its cutting edge DJ showcase throughout the season.

Buffalo Bill's Bar & Grill

Buffalo Bill's has been offering a great atmosphere and great entertainment for many years in North America's Top Ski Resort. Well known for featuring live bands including, The Tragically Hip, Colin James and Edgar Winter. When no bands are scheduled, the DJ spins the classics and top-40.

Maxx Fish

A premier club for the hip crowd. Maxx Fish has some of Canada's most famous & best resident DJs. The best hip-hop, house and funk nights in Whistler have their home in Maxx Fish. The funkiest-looking bar in town, this place set the standard when it opened with its big city ultra cool décor.

Garfinkel's

Garfinkel's is Whistler's largest and busiest nightclub. Check often for concert listing as Garf's is the only place around to catch the 2 Live Crew, Gord Downie, Swollen Members, MOP, Obie Trice, Nashville Pussy, DJ Dan, Marke Lewis or Roger Sanchez on the same stage.

Tommy Africa's

Tommy Africa's first opened in December 1988, to a full house, and has been a favourite spot for locals and visitors alike for the last 15 ski seasons. It is a bit hard to find, but this adds to the mystique of this club. Tommy Africa's is a true innovator and has been first in creation of many things in Whistler including the first to have go-go dancers, and the first to import DJ's from all over North America and Europe.

Moe Joe's

Moe Joe's is located in the heart of Whistler Village. With a mixture of weekly live music and DJ's it provides you with a great casual fun filled atmosphere to party in. When you're looking for a night out to remember, Moe Joe's is the place to go. A large dance floor seems to get bigger when local live acts play.

The Longhorn Saloon

Located at the base of Whistler Mountain in the Carleton Lodge, the Longhorn Saloon has been the #1 aprés ski spot in town for over 15 years. Great food from the grill, ice-cold draft beer & DJ's spinning classic & modern rock create a perfect ending to a day on the mountain.

Dubh Linn Gate

This is Whistler's only Irish pub and home to the best selection of draught beer in town. Featuring great pub food and regular live entertainment, which will help get everyone in the Emerald Isle mood.

The GLC

Also known as the "Garibaldi Lift Company" after the original corporate name of Whistler Mountain's operators 'way back in 1966. Look for the aluminium can gondola hanging at the entrance hard by the foot of the Village side of Whistler Mountain. The only ski-in/ ski-out bar in the Village for that aprés craving of liquids.

The Mallard Lounge

Inside the beautiful Fairmont Chateau Whistler, The Mallard Lounge is the home of the perfect martini. It features live jazz piano music for aprés ski and an amazing selection of scotches for sipping. Also has a cigar room.

Blacks Pub

Great aprés at the base of both village gondolas. Fabulous views from the upper patio. Features Mediterranean style entrées and have pastas and amazing pizzas. Daily drink specials with a large selection of fine scotches and cold beers.

The Mix Lounge

Located right in the Village, The Mix offers a fantastic array of martinis and wine, as well as a unique lunch and dinner menu ranging from tapas to full meals. The Mix Lounge is also sure to be an après hotspot this winter season with new patio renovations slated for fall 2006. Open at 7 AM for breakfast.

Dusty's Bar & Grill

Located on the original Whistler townsite - Whistler's Creekside - Dusty's Bar & Grill sits at the foot of the Dave Murray Downhill and is home to the locals' aprés-ski scene.

Located at the Nita Lake Lodge, The Library is a quiet room with cosy furniture. It's a perfect place to relax with anovel, play a game of cards, host a small meeting or a welcome reception.
