2010 Paralympic Emblem Unveiling &
Free Concert
Vancouver 2010 is set to celebrate the Paralympic Movement
September 16, with an exciting free concert that will also reveal the new 2010 Paralympic Winter Games emblem to the world.
The celebration gets underway at 3:00 PM at the Whistler Golf Course Driving Range, which will be converted into an outdoor concert field. Alcoholic beverages will not be permitted on-site.

For the event, Whistler will play host to one of the biggest shows of Juno award-winning talent the mountain resort community has seen in recent history. Event support provided by Tourism Whistler.
Chantal Kreviazuk
Manitoba's Chantal Kreviazuk is a singer/songwriter whose finely crafted pop songs have earned her critical acclaim and Juno Awards for Best Female Artist and Best Album. A child prodigy on the piano, the classically trained Kraviazuk's music was featured on the Armageddon soundtrack, and on popular television series like Dawson's Creek and Providence.
Philosopher Kings
Toronto's Juno award-winning Philosopher Kings play a genre-defying blend of infectious pop layered with ultra hip R&B and jazz. The band's high-energy performances have earned them the moniker "Canada's Favourite Live Band".
Spirit of the West
After more than 12 albums, Canada's Spirit of the West have proven themselves to be one of the country's most durable and popular bands, having toured Canada, the US, UK and Europe consistently, building a dedicated following of fans from all over the world. They have four gold and two platinum albums to their credit and have shared stages with the likes of Blues Traveler, The Rheostatics, Wonderstuff, The Tragically Hip, Ziggy Marley and many more.
Jim Byrnes
American-born actor and blues musician Jim Byrnes is probably most recognized for his roles on television shows like CBS' Wiseguy and the Highlander series and movies. But Byrnes is a Juno award-winner who grew up steeped in the blues traditions of his St. Louis home and has appeared with the likes of Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Albert Collins, Taj Mahal, Robert Cray and Ray Charles.
Jeremy Fisher
Vancouver-based singer/songwriter Jeremy Fisher is an accomplished musician signed to BMG who has played acoustic folk and blues-influenced pop songs on stages with Sarah Slean, Rex Goudie and Xavier Rudd.
