Blending seamlessly with Whistler’s natural surroundings, the newly-built Whistler Sliding Centre and Whistler Olympic Park make use of the existing mountain terrain to create the jumps, trails and slopes needed for the competitions. The slopes at Whistler Creekside are already Olympic-caliber and simply needed minor adjustments to create the downhill course.
Whistler Live! sites, the arts and cultural component of the Games in Whistler, are scattered throughout Whistler Village with Whistler Medals Plaza, the anchor of the sites and where the medals will be awarded, located near Marketplace.
Whistler is the perfect place to experience Olympic spirit and the Games. With piles of snow, the best skiing and snowboarding in North America, fun-filled winter activities and a lively pedestrian village brimming with athletes and spectators from around the world, it will be an experience like no other.
