Three days of golfing in Whistler: You may need four!
Our championship courses make Whistler a golfer's paradise. But
don't just take our word for it: Golf Digest rated Whistler as Canada's number one golf
destination!
And with all the other activities at the heart of the Whistler experience,
non-golfers in your family will happily send you off at tee time as they hike, bike, shop, sightsee or swim the day away.
First Round
Get
up early on your first morning in Whistler — the greens are waiting! The early
morning sun and freshly manicured greens make it feel like it was all created just for
you, your own private golf nirvana. Spend the morning perfecting your swing on your
first round of 18. Try not to get distracted by the spectacular views of snow-capped
mountains and lush forest. After lunch on the clubhouse patio and browsing in the
course’s golf shop, it’s time to head up 6,000 feet and get a bird's eye view of the courses you'll conquer.
Catch the Village Gondola to the top of Whistler Mountain and then the Peak Chair up
to 7,160 feet. Can you imagine teeing it up at the Peak? After a look around on
Whistler (try the easygoing Peak Interpretive Walk), take the new PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola over to Blackcomb Mountain and get a different
view.
Once you’re back down in the village, check out the more than 200 shops in Whistler for some souvenirs, the choice is astounding. End
the day with a fantastic dinner and get psyched up for your next
round.
Second Round
Choose a different golf course today. Whistler has
three within five minutes of the Village! Take advantage of sunset rates and book a
late-afternoon tee time. Hit the beach at Lost Lake or Rainbow
Park for a refreshing swim and relaxing morning. Enjoy a leisurely lunch on a patio
facing the mountain bike park and marvel at the fearless
riders. If it’s Thursday or Saturday, stop by The Brewhouse at 3:00 pm for a free
brewery tour.
After your round, pick one of Whistler’s several fine restaurants and celebrate another sensational day on the greens. If
you’re feeling energetic, check out the many bars
featuring live entertainment.
Third Round
Your third day
brings another course and a few lessons to improve your skills. Choose 18 holes or two
sets of nine and visit two courses in one day. After the game, explore Whistler a
little more. If it’s Sunday, head to the Upper Village for Whistler's Farmers'
Market of seasonal berries and produce, home-baked goods, artisan crafts and addictive
fresh kettle popcorn.
Your last stop is a specialized golfer's massage at the
luxurious Four Seasons Resort Whistler. Golfing in Whistler has been so magical you
decide to stay another few days — the greens are calling!
