The Fine Print
All Food and Beverage prices are subject to 17% taxable Service Charge plus 12% HST (Harmonized Sales Tax). Labour charges are subject to 12% HST.
A labour charge of $75.00 will apply to all meal functions with 20 guests or less. For any meal functions held on a Canadian Statutory Holiday, an additional labour charge of $5.00 per guest will apply.
A guaranteed attendance number is required for each function by 12:00 PM (noon), three business days (72 hours) prior to the event. No reductions are
accepted to this guarantee after the 72-hour deadline. If no guaranteed number is received as required, the expected attendance shown on the
Banquet Event Order (BEO) will be used as the guarantee and charges will be applied accordingly. Clients will be charged for the actual attendance
or the guaranteed attendance, whichever is greater.
The Whistler Conference Centre may, in its sole discretion, set-up and prepare for an overage of five percent (5%) above the guaranteed attendance number up
to a maximum of thirty (30) meals.
Normally this overage is comprised of alternative menu selections, such as vegetarian meals. This overage will be forfeited and a surcharge may apply,
based on 15% of the original menu price, if the guaranteed number is increased after the 72-hour deadline.
Any last-minute, new orders within the 72-hour deadline period are subject to a surcharge based on 15% of the original menu price. Any substantial changes
that differ from the agreed BEO – such as floor plan set up, event start time or event finish time (which impact our employee scheduling) – may be subject to
additional labour charges.
All food and beverages served in the Whistler Conference Centre can only be provided by our in-house food and beverage department. Under no
circumstances shall the Client, its guests or exhibitors be permitted to bring in alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholic beverages or food onto the premises
without the expressed permission of the Whistler Conference Centre.
Each meal function is for a maximum duration of:
- Breakfast – 1.5 hours
- Lunch – 2 hours
- Dinner – 2.5 hours
Each additional hour will be charged at $30 per hour, per server, plus an additional 25% of the original menu price per person for replenishing food items.
Our guaranteed consumption policy is applied when products (i.e. wine, beer) are requested that are not listed on our menu. A specified amount of product must be ordered and paid for in full. Any product left over is the property of the Whistler Conference Centre and cannot be taken off property by the Client.
All Alcoholic Beverages must be purchased under our Liquor Licence. Therefore, “Corkage” is not available for alcohol under any circumstance.
In order to protect its clientele and to respect the Whistler Conference Centre’s responsibility to the public, we have instructed our staff to refuse the service of alcoholic beverage to any person showing signs of intoxication.
The Client is responsible for any extraordinary cleaning or damages to the premises by its guests, agents or independent contractors. Charges will be applied at the sole discretion of the Whistler Conference Centre.
