Justin's response time on my requests was always efficient and knowledgeable in the information he provided. The final event which we decided on Wine/Dinner tour was well received by our group of 22 & they said they had a fantastic time.
Over the last 12+ months, I have worked closely with Jenny Pederson to manage the accommodation needs for the World Junior Nordic Ski Championships hosted by the Black Tusk Nordic Events Society. I have been working, albeit at a distance, with Jenny and her team for many years when I was General Manager at the Crystal Lodge and Chair of Tourism Whistler. The irony is not lost that I had to leave Whistler and take on a sizable volunteer role to fully grasp the skill, attention to detail, and customer service she brings to the Whistler.com/ Tourism Whistler team. Jenny had the unenviable job of housing over 850 athletes over 12 peak nights in Whistler and Squamish for a not-for-profit group with a capped budget and challenging payment process. Additionally, we had to stick-handle around favourable National Sport Organization, FIS lodging rules enabling the teams to change their sizes and dates up to 7 days before the competition. Although not part of her original scope of work, Jenny became increasingly involved in the incremental 170+ volunteer and support personnel that required accommodation in the sea to sky. I know firsthand that Jenny was fielding calls and emails at all hours, and all days of the week leading up to, and during, the competition and that the overall success of the event would not have been where it was without her hard work and the customer service skills she demonstrated.
